crazy colorado weekend

We did a roadtrip to Colorado to cheer on Lance Armstrong in the Leadville Trail 100 and bike on the highest paved road in North America.
We got to Leadville, CO around 1:30AM and slept in the car before the 6:30AM race.

We saw the man up close and personal. Russell even carried on a brief conversation with him... "hey lance, we drove from utah and slept in our car last night...." Lance replied, "Cool, cool. Why didn't you bring any [stinkin'] sun with you..." He smoked us on his bike going up this hill. Enjoy this lame video summing up the race (and yes, that is me trying to run along Lance 1:15 in the video):

Lance inspired us so much that we decided to bike up the highest paved road in North America...

That is pretty crazy. I wonder what Lance thinks of people like you guys. And with a flat tire? Couldn't someone have fixed that for him? Or did he not want to stop? Wouldn't a non-flat tire have made up for the time it would have taken to stop?

Awesome--even though it's late, I had to check it out, especially after you said you got a comment from a complete Youtube stranger--I was equally impressed with your video editing--simple yet chic, you'll have to show me how to do that sometime, your sister is pretty computer skills deficient! Fun to see you tonight, keep up the good work :)

yeah, he tried to do a quick fix and inflate it but no good. i guess mountain biking's a bit different from the road biking.

When you enlarge the photo of Lance riding all I can say is HELLO CALVES - that man has amazing gastronemiuses (is that the plural of gastrocnemius) and soleus muscles. Holy cow - or holy calf!

Sadly, I cannot say the same for yours because they are hidden under those snazzy black riding pants (which look remarkably like men's ballet tights.) Hmmmmm :)

Hannah's right, she provided ZERO footage of herself chasing after him. Boring!

This is an all around great post Bryce! You look hott in those butt tights.

You guys used Ritz for pillows?

The Ritz is a cleverly placed advertisement that was put there by someone that works for Kraft. Like the Cheerios box at the breakfast table at the Kent farmhouse in the original Superman movie with Christopher Reeves. Same thing.

I don't think I will going to join you in person for the #7 BYU-FSU game, as I cannot find good last minute tickets.

I'm tired. Good night.
